I was born in Lisbon, Portugal on February 22nd, 1996. At 14, I needed to choose a career path. I had no idea what I wanted to do and who I wanted to be. All I knew was that I liked art and was not interested at all in other areas so I ended up pursuing Visual Arts in high school. I learned some techniques and started sketching very often, eventually I fell in love with it. The fact that I was in an art course did not make me good at drawing, what did was the effort and dedication I put into it. I am still learning and practicing every day and my goal is to improve each time I create something new. I did not pursue it in university because I wanted to make art for the joy, not because I had to do it. I decided to go for Photography and Visual Culture which is something that I have always liked but never took it too seriously. I just finished the first year.

Here you can find some of my photos as well as my paintings and drawings. Dramatic, expressive, different and creative are some words to describe my photos. Black and white and high contrasts are what I use the most. The following quote by Zak Bagans really speaks to me, not only personally but as a photographer: "I discovered that what most people call creepy, scary and spooky, I call comfy, cozy and home."

For paintings, I also use high contrasts and for drawings, I try to make them as realistic as possible. Both are black and white portraits. I love to draw facial expressions that show some kind of emotion and tell some kind of story.
